Southwest Engineers is committed to furthering the civil and environmental engineering fields in Texas, as well as providing opportunities for college bound high school students in our community. Through the promotion of these engineering sciences we believe we can benefit both the student and the community.

Each year we award a scholarship to a graduating senior from one of the following schools: Gonzales, Hallettsville, Hallettsville Sacred Heart, Luling, Moulton, Nixon-Smiley, Shiner, Shiner St. Paul, Waelder, Yoakum. The student must show an interest and intent to enter into college to study civil and/or environmental engineering to be eligible.

Our 2011 scholarship award winner was Carson Washington of Yoakum High School. Carson started college in August 2011 at Texas A&M University with an interest in civil engineering.

The scholarship is for up to $5,000 for the student's college career. Interested students can contact us and request the official application to get the full details on eligibility requirements.
