Southwest Engineers (SWE) provided design and construction-phase assistance services for the Carpenter Hill Lift Station and its force main. This lift station consists of a 6’ diameter, 17’ deep polymer-concrete wet well with two 145 gpm submersible pumps. The lift station discharges to the gravity wastewater collection system in Unit 4 of the subdivision via approximately 1,000 LF of 4” HDPE force main. SWE designed the lift station to City of Austin standards, which required a jib crane, flow meter, SCADA connectivity, web camera, 50 kW Cummins generator, concrete drives, and an 8’ high stone perimeter fence. Once completed, the lift station was dedicated to the City of Buda for ownership and operation.
